Worldwide fathers are
fighting for their rights to not only have access to their children, but for their right to be an equal parent also. After more than 30 years of discussions between the politicians and fathers groups, very little has changed for the better. Laws have been tweaked, soothing words spoken, and many politicians will even say that there is no longer any problem. Yet reality tells a very different story - a story of systematic enforced fatherlessness on an industrial scale. In the Netherlands, Family Courts hold their sessions in secret, the child "protection" (sic) service has no demonstrative concern with protecting children choosing instead to destroy and misplace documents how and when it suits them. The words and publicity of this institution say one thing, the reality is painfully very different indeed. The organization has become more akin to an anti-father Gestapo than a child protection organization. No, this is not happening in some Cold War Communist state, nor in 1930's Europe, but here in the 21st century, in (supposedly) a free and developed democracy. It has been allowed to happen because the secretive family law system allows it to go unseen and unchecked. The human rights of Men, Women and most importantly Children take a back seat in the day to day workings. Some lawyers, the family-court system and a whole gravy train of hangers-on are making huge sums of money out of this untold human misery. After 30 years of talking in the Netherlands, one child every hour of every day will never see his or her father again. And not because Daddy is necessarily a bad parent, but all too often simply for a mother's selfish convenience. The legal system in the Netherlands does not punish a custodial parent for withholding contact. In fact, the system intended to protect children actively rewards the withholding parent, even in cases when the mother is abusive. Fathers around the world are now standing up for their children's rights. This Dad's Army is here to stay - and this time, they will be heard. In the Netherlands, Fathers-4-Justice have recruited over a 100 activists with a view to a launch this summer. Justice is Coming..
